Here are the stories:

This year’s “Border Battle” may have more on the line than Paul Bunyan’s Axe today. The 19th-ranked Wisconsin Badgers are visiting a resurgent Minnesota program who’s riding a four-game winning streak and looking to shatter hopes for a B-C-S bid. The Badger’s defense, led by linebacker Chris Borland, is looking to hold the Golden Gophers to its lowest scoring output this season… something they have done with six other opponents this season. The Badgers are looking to win its tenth-straight game against the Golden Gophers… today’s game gets underway at 2:30 (CST).

-----

Despite holding onto a lead in the fourth quarter, the Milwaukee Bucks fell in overtime to the 76ers last night, 115-107. Milwaukee held a 98-88 lead with over two minutes to play when Philadelphia went on a 14-4 run that ended with a last-second three pointer, sending the game into overtime. The Bucks put up only five points in the overtime loss. Caron Butler led all players with 38 points and going 4-for-8 from the arc. The Bucks are now riding a seven-game losing streak.

-----

The second-ranked Wisconsin women’s hockey team earned a 0-0 tie with fourth-ranked North Dakota last night. It’s the first time North Dakota was held scoreless all year. Junior Blayre Turnbull sealed the shootout draw in the third round, making it the first time the Badgers have ever won a shootout with North Dakota. Senior Alex Rigsby got her 26th career shutout, second most in school history. The series wraps-up tonight at 7:00.

A body found in Michigan has been identified as a missing Milwaukee man. Authorities say hunters found the body of 44-year-old Gerod Prince on November 15… he had been missing since September. The body was found near Cedarville Township in Menominee County. The county’s Medical Examiner’s Office deemed the cause of death as exposure. Police say Prince was a voluntary missing person and do not suspect foul play.

A Wisconsin man, accused of locking up his teenage daughter in a basement, was convicted by a jury on Friday. The 42-year-old Madison man was found guilty of intentional child abuse, along with reckless endangerment and causing mental harm to a child. According to court records, the teen was found wandering the streets after she ran away from home in February last year. She told investigators about a five-year nightmare of confinement and starvation, along with sexual abuse from her stepbrother. The father took the stand on Thursday, saying his daughter suffered from severe behavioral problems and did his best to help her. In order to protect the girl’s identity, the father has not been identified.

A Granton business has been fined for illegally discharging wastewater. Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen says he obtained a judgment against Billy J. Dahlke for violating wastewater laws. Dahlke's business, B-J Septic, had been dumping numerous loads of liquid septic waste behind an abandoned farm located on US Hwy 10 in Granton. D-N-R wardens received a complaint, and established surveillance of the property the next day. They observed Dahlke discharging septage from his truck into a tank that immediately drained and flowed into a nearby tributary to Jack Creek. Dahlke is licensed by the D-N-R to perform septage servicing and land spreading on agricultural lands but this dumping was not an approved method or on a permitted site. Dahlke was ordered by Clark County Judge Jon Counsell to pay fines and costs, totaling 30-thousand dollars.
